COSMETICS CASES
General cosmetic housing or cases made of plastics are printed using our BA ink series. The BA ink series is the perfect ink for a variety of plastics, lacquered surfaces and varnished surfaces. This fast drying, highly abrasive ink is available in 23 high gloss standard shades, 11 HD shades and 5 metallic shades. The type of pad printer that printed these items ranges from a 2200-PS (pad shuttle) to our 2200-LI (long-image) to our B-150. The 2200-PS allows users to obtain a 2-color print with the shift of pad, the 2200-LI will print 1-color long graphics or logos and the B-150 is able to print 1-color large logos up to 5.5” (140mm).
COSMETICS LIDS
Cosmetic lid applications can either be done with inkjet printing methods or pad printing methods. For this application, the J3 ink series was used to pad print a 2-color logo onto the acrylic lid. The J3 ink series is a fast drying, highly glossy pad printing ink. In addition to its clear visual properties, the J3 ink series is also class VI certified, meaning it is medical grade. This classification means that the J3 ink is highly abrasive and has superior chemical resistance. The pad printer used in this application was the 2200-C (carousel). The carousel features allow the cosmetic lids to travel to each pad printing station automatically and then to drop into a box or bin.
SOFT COSMETICS CASES
Our printing solutions are not only for hardgoods, but for soft goods as well. The SB ink series has an outstanding reputation in the Apparel industry, however, it is also great for printing on other soft applications. Using our 1- and 2-color pad printers, this application highlights the alternative uses for our textile ink. The SB ink series is fast drying and has a high degree of gloss. Additionally, it comes in 23 different colors, 2 HD shades and 5 metallic shades. The emery board was printed using our 2200-LI (long image) pad printer. This pad printer allows users to print long images up to 20” (508mm) long. The other cosmetics cases utilized our 2200-PS (pad shuttle) pad printer which shifts the product left to right to obtain a two-color print.
GLASS COSMETICS BOTTLES
Glass cosmetic bottles can either be inkjet printed or pad printed depending on the number of colors required as well as the number of items needed to be printed. For this application of cosmetic bottle printing, the CG ink series was used to pad print a 1-color logo onto each bottle. The CG ink series is a highly opaque ink with a satin finish. It is quick drying and is available in 23 standard shades, 11 HD shades and 5 metallic shades. The pad printer used in this application was the B100. The B100 is able to print logos or graphics up to 3.14” (80mm) in diameter.
